About the Author
Little Ledger Press was created by Barry Elwonger as a way to spend meaningful time with his kids, Brooke and Blake, while teaching them the fundamentals of money, time, generosity, and other important life lessons.
What began as one simple story at Barry’s office desk grew into several books across two series. Along the way, Brooke proudly stepped in as “storytelling editor,” offering notes on scenes and even requesting changes to illustrations. These shared creative moments evolved into a collection of books and games rooted in real-life lessons and hands-on learning.
As of June 2025, the books are officially being published for the first time. To accompany them, the family is launching a weekly video series of financial games on TikTok and Instagram later this month, designed to make money conversations feel normal and give families fun ways to connect and learn together.
By day, Barry runs a marketing agency. But this project has become a family passion. Every story is shaped by connection, creativity, and the belief that kids can learn big lessons from little stories.
